Statement of PurposeBy The SWORD Ministries Inc. (BTSMI) exists to bring new life and renewed hope to “at risk” individuals, children, and families. BTSMI strives to meet those in need and equip them to become servant leaders in their families and our community through mentoring, faith-based life-skill programs, and reentry assistance. BTSMI will help the incarcerated reintegrate to reduce recidivism. Investing in the youth and those on the outside will help them before the challenges of life apprehend them.

11.17.24 10 people came to speak to 70 youth and adults to share of the hard life circumstances that led to their crying out to God. For 2 1/2 hours the youth listened intently to story after story of wrong friends, internet, peer pressure, going against parents guidance, and filling life's hurts with the wrong things. We believe lives were changed for the good that evening. A Christian Testimony is a powerful thing.

People helping People

Weekly mens group where we discuss life's issues and find God's answers together. We need this weekly interaction with out brothers in the Lord. Life is too hard to do alone. A body jointly fit together. We've ALL got our issues But it is an amazing thing as we join together

By The SWORD Ministries is continuing to do what has been going on for years. Now it has a more formal name and organizational backbone. We are now incorporated and a 501c3 Non profit. We have a board to oversee operations to give the community and donors who don't know us yet a level of comfort.
Many individuals over the past 30 years have come together in many ways to fulfill needs in Bedford and surrounding counties. These have ranged from many youth events, Royal Rangers, helping elderly, the incarcerated, their families, men's groups and breakfasts, and the spiritually lost. God helps people through people and it is his nature to give the resources needed into the hands of His people. We're just working to help connect the two.

How can I help? ...You tell us.. God asked Moses, "What is in your hand?" "A staff". God uses what he has already put into our hands. What has God put in yours? Gifts, talents, skills, resources, knowledge, a vehicle, a spare room, patience, A listening ear, compassion, finances??? Share with us what you have available so we can help match it to a need. The possibilities are endless.
